Basically the creator is selling nsfw pictures of their child characters in Patreon. People are justifying it by saying the characters are aged up but the creator has ALSO uploaded sexual pictures of child characters to their DA, they’ve mocked the people who have expressed concern and literally it makes no fucking sense to have a series with children as the main characters and Constantly Draw Porn Of Them
It’s also very telling that she needed to clarify that they were aged up because they literally did not look like adults
I bet there’s some people saying it’s an “art style” or that “it’s her choice to draw them that way”, if you’re going to put adults in adult situation at least draw them looking like ADULTS
I just love how people are shocked like this has been a problem for years but y’all keep brushing it under the rug. I can already see the fandom trying to deny the artist drawing literal child pornography
Update: It got worse.
tl;dr: Michelle (the creator of Ava’s Demon) has just asked her fans to doxx people who have complained about selling child porn, even giving away one of the names of the people who had contacted her personally simply to express their disappointment for allowing this to happen.
PAYPAL IS TRYING TO SLIP THE RUG UNDER US. Or they may have said this and just no one read about it or noticed/knew.
OKAY SO BEFORE YOU SEND ANY MONEY FOR THAT AWESOME COMMISSION YOU WANT TO BUY FROM THAT AWESOME ARTIST. PLEASE STOP AND READ THIS.
Paypal changed the look of how you will fill out information and send money. Thus, you need to be super careful. Don’t go all willy nilly through and be like “Yeah yeah yeah send” you need to stop when you see this screen right away.
Before you proceed, you will first notice one major thing: your address is showing. What you need to do if you are ordering a DIGITAL WORK (aka, it is being sent to you via the interwebz) is you need to click on your address and there around be a drop down menu of 3 (or more) options:
No address needed
Your Current Address
+ Add a new shipping address
Be sure to select “No address needed”, it is very important that you do. If you leave your address in there, Paypal will assume that you are to receive a physical package. A physical package which needs proof that exists physically. Paypal will want the artist to provide shipping labels and tracking info on said package. This is bad, very, very bad. Artists can get in trouble if they cannot provide these things.
Please, if an artist asks to send you back your money so that you can send it again correctly, do not be offended. You are paying them to do your commission, how can they do your commission with no money?
Reblog this, send this around, if you want to make a proper tutorial go ahead, I hope this was clear enough as it is.
Important!!!
reblogging cause I had like 3 people do this lol, PLEASE DON’T!!
There are some solutions and workarounds for turning off Windows Ink, which seems to be the root of the problem of making people’s pens go crazy. It will make your tablet actually start working decently again with your normal commands/gestures, but due to some kind of bug or whatever, turning off Windows Ink also disables pen pressure. So how do fix for a workaround? The first is the Photoshop Fix that was found by @mandyjacek(click for the thread!) where you have to go into Photoshop’s files and add in a txt file you can write very simply yourself that forces Photoshop to use the TabletPC API instead of the WinTab API. After a restart, it began working for me again more or less like it should.
The Second is in SAI:
i was almost as if the developer knew there were gonna be some bullshittin’ down the road and gave us an option.
I haven’t seen a fix for CLIP STUDIO or other art programs yet, but this is at least a start until Windows and Wacom get get back to seeing one another eye-to-eye again.
These have at least worked for me, and I hope for you all as well.
not sure if this has been found already but i found something that worked for for me with CLIP STUDIO.
first turn OFF windows ink!
Then open CLIP STUDIO and go into PREFERENCES
Finally go onto the Tablet option. from there change it from TabletPC to Wintab!
hopefully this will work for you if you use clipstudio!
Reblogging for the Clip Fix!
Gotta try that PS and Sai one!
I will say the most recent update did not affect my system since I run off of Windows 7, BUT this is helpful for anyone who is having issues
Keeping it short and to the point, I’d like all of you to please give this a read when you can. After some unfortunate misunderstandings, Mod Nah has graciously outlined some important points regarding this AU and it’s contents, which I feel a LOT of folks need to read and understand.
It CAN affect the acceptance of any applications we get for this RP server as well, so it’s in everyone’s best interests that this be understood. If there’s any further questions, feel free to send an ask and we’ll try to clear it up. Many thanks for reading!
Tumblr indeed is blocked- I’m and some of us are using VPN to keep connecting to you guys- but the speed is still limited.. there’s some of us that can’t even upload any pictures.. toro got so upset she kinda broke her phone.. yea it was that bad…
for now all we can do is sign a petition from this post– please help sign it guys- this kind of petition work before- I hope it can work again ;_;
Howdy Y’all. I don’t have access to my laptop right now, but I still gotta reblog this.
A good art pal of mine lives in Indonesia, and I don’t WANT her dealing with this bullshit.
Indonesia needs help. So help em! People stopped the FCC from destroying the internet in the US, I don’t see why folks can’t help stop this one too!
Updated my Art Cycle image thingy to make it a little easier to read. Still lots of info packed in there with my sub par infographic making skills but ah well.
Whenever you feel bad about your art ability, please remember this! Art improvement for many is a cycle, art blocks do not mean you are doing worse. You are just getting better at seeing your mistakes, which is CRUCIAL to getting better at making art!!
I understood this all relatively well, and this is going to help me so much!
I think a lot of my more artistic followers really need to see this. It’s the most accurate thing you’re ever going to see when it comes to your own artwork.
Burger King’s video on “Whopper Neutrality” – an analogy to explain Net
Neutrality that’s also obviously a marketing campaign for Burger King
– is a surprisingly great explainer, but even more importantly, it’s an
important bellwether for corporate America’s perception of public
support for Net Neutrality.
It’s unheard of for middle-of-the-road, please-everyone corporations
like Burger King to take sides in controversial policy fights
(exceptions, like Chick-Fil-A’s public, prominent homophobia,
are noteworthy because they’re so rare and were such a disaster for the
company). When your customer base is sufficiently broad, any stance you
take will cost you as many customers as it will win you, after all.
But Net Neutrality enjoys farcically high support – 83%! – and virtually the only “persons” who oppose Net Neutrality are bots and media corporations, and they don’t buy hamburgers.
Thank goodnes! They did the right thing Good news for Creators and Patrons!
I didn’t take a very big hit from the madness, but it is kinda nice to know people won’t be overcharged for their pledges.
finally something good happens :’D
I haven’t seen a post on my dashboard about this yet but THANK!! YOU!! PATREON!! This is the best piece of news I’ve seen all day, since this means I can:
Resume my $1 pledges right now,
Resume my own creator account without feeling like shit that my friends and supporters are being forced to deal with this, and
Just flat-out NOT have to deal with setting up Ko-Fi or something else for this type of reward system.
And yes, while you say in this article that you broke trust with creators and patrons alike, I can tell you one thing, in my own opinion:
You still realized your error here, and instead of just going with it, you decided against your changes. That’s better than almost every other company I’ve seen in the last several years. So, honestly? Thank you. For listening to everyone in the long run. You’ll find a way to sort this out somehow, someday.
I am begging every single one of you to sign and share this petition.Patreon is introducing a new fee system that burdens patrons with fees instead of creators, creating a mass exodus of patrons who are cancelling their subscriptions to all creators, not just me.
I make my entire living on Patreon and this severely threatens my financial stability. I am a full-time student with one more semester left of school. These disgustingly greedy changes could destroy my livelihood, my finances, and could leave me unable to pay my rent, bills, and tuition. These changes could literally ruin my life. Besides, as a creator, I am more than happy to pay these fees rather than needlessly burden my Patrons.
If anyone has any suggestions for other platforms or other ways I can continue to keep the lights on, please sound off in the comments.
I am absolutely terrified and upset and beg Patreon to reconsider.
Edit: After seeing other Creators posting similar proposals, if you are a small-dollar Patron who is planning to unpledge or leave Patreon but still wants to support my work:
I do not know how the system for Patreon works, and the intricacies that come about because of fees. I am sure it is complicated.
But I speak exclusively from a creators standpoint, and from the standpoint that I’ve had donators come to me, scared they won’t be able to support me anymore or afford the tier they want to be in.
My standpoint, is seeing my donations drop a 100 dollars within 2 days because people do not like the system. My perspective comes from someone scared that this will get so bad, I will not be able to support myself on their site anymore. I think, that is a fair perspective to have, since we were given no choice in this matter.
Thanks for watching. I hope things get better in the future, and I will do my best to make things work.
EDIT: Oh yeah! I know I say Patreon is only a month-by-month payment, but that’s not true, you can have a video by video set up, as well. I just use it month by month so it came out naturally like that.
Honestly, I feel very scared and concerne about this. Since I started my patreon it was already discounting me more taxes than usual due to some laws about international payments in my country, so I have never get all of the donations people are giving to me… and now, whoever who made those changes without asking us first, are going to affect the payments even worse.
I hope they can see what have they done and fix it soon. Because this is an insult for donators and creators.
In my case, if I get less paid on Patreon than my Youtube channel, I will have to quit.
I do not want to imagine what will happen to other artists that only have Patreon to deal with situations even worse.
My heart is absolutely breaking over how horribly creators and donators are being treated by Patreon. Like, it’s disgusting. And disheartening.
This is people’s livelihoods that are being messed with. Content creators are depending on Patreon as a source of income and security and for the higher ups to do something so drastic and dumb without consulting with the creators who depend on their site and are the driving force of their website is just idiotic and selfish.
Not to mention this deters newcomers from using Patreon because of how iffy things are. Personally I’ve been working on setting up a Patreon but now I just want to wait until I see if this goes through, if they get rid of it, if they react at all, etc etc.
But the thing is that there are people – newcomers or long-time users – who cannot afford to wait. Literally – they can’t afford to step away, to not try it to support themselves and their craft, to turn to ‘any other options’ because there aren’t many yet. And depending on where you live in the world your options could be even slimmer.
It’s just gross. I’m sorry for everyone hurt because of this. I’m sorry that so many people have to feel worried about what comes next.
We have to keep faith that things will improve and that we must stay determined until they do, but we can’t afford to wait.
It sucks feeling powerless.
Everyone kept telling me to start a patreon, even my teacher told me to set one up and I was going to do it, but if this is happening I’m not so sure if I should anymore..
At this point i think I should quit patreon …
even tho there are a few awesome people who are supporting me there but this is unfair for both sides and especially that I am not active there much and with the low income I am getting ?….adding more undescussed fees is so unfair….So if this isn’t fixed this month I’ll have to quit…..youtube is already providing me enough besides my commissions so it’s no big deal
Let’s see how they’ll deal with a lot of creators quiting their dump website
You see this video? You see these reblogs? I just got a chance to sit down and actually watch this video and, well…
… I have never felt my heart shatter so hard than when the 6:20 mark passed, for more than one reason.
But mostly it’s. Because this is entirely unfair to so many; creators and patrons alike. It’s absolutely ridiculous that Patreon seems to think their Creators are so greedy and corrupt that they’d be willing to do this to other people. Everyone in these reblogs above me in this post are all FANTASTIC examples of people that would never want to do this to their fans and supporters.
I’m still listening to this video as I try to type this out and, well. My sympathy tears are real considering the amount of genuine fear you can hear in her voice…
I started up my own Patreon, too. For a time. Friends came to donate to me and I never felt more joy and will to create than when they openly expressed to me that they were excited to support me… Now? I sit here trying to think up a way to set up an alternative for secondary income, and have already reverted my Creator account to Patron-only.
… and I really hope Patreon sorts their shit out soon…
