GVWEEK DAY 1: draw yourself as a gv character or draw your gv oc!!
Ok well I’m diving right into Gloomverse Week with absolutely nothing prepared so have an unshaded drawing of a Stratoversian OC I made for shits and giggles a little ways back.
I still don’t have her official Strato name. She goes by Acid Rain because that was the edgy as fuck name that was decided on. Stupidly rebellious ((I.E. Wearing toe socks with the toes cut off partway, other horrible infractions.
I also just really like the idea of thundery gray cloud hair as a possible colour, plus the green hues for the whole “acid” part of her fucking schtick.
Ykw it’s about time i actually post my dang Gloomverse Persona and actually, y’know, gave them details lmao.
Left is their usual business attire – the type of thing they’re seen wearing most in public!
Right is a more lazy-ass outfit, which tbh even if Gloomverse didn’t have that type of thing, every persona I ever draw has to have that ugly-ass rainbow sweater with red plaid pants, and none of you can stop me. :p
Wand is more reminiscent of a decorative stirring stick, usually used to do exactly that! lmao.

GENERAL BIO:
Goes by “Pidge” 22 years old. Gloomversian. They/Them. Aro/Ace Generally pretty chill, cheerful exterior. Impressively chipper Customer Service Voice™. Actually a massive introvert. Dislikes physical contact from strangers. Doesn’t talk much outside of work. Zero tolerance for Rude Randys. Don’t tell them how to do their job.
Lives in a small studio apartment/home somewhere in Prisma. Hat decorated with coffee cherries, flowers and leaves Has a pet bearded dragon – Ruth. Hand-sewn plushie commissions for extra income when needed. Gotten in actual fistfights with bullies during school. (K – College)
MAGIC:
Got their magic at 13.
Coffee/tea Magic: – summons coffee fruits of various kinds from their hat. – can pull some high caffeine varieties of teas as well. – Will happily make decaf anything for those w/ sensitivities. – Prefers to order the bulk of their coffees straight from Ecoverse. – Something about the growing environment makes their coffee amazing.
WORK:
Small “family-run” coffee shop on a street corner in Prisma It’s actually just them that runs the place. Some part-timers during the busier hours. School-friendly schedules for those that need income and also college No judgement here – don’t need magic to serve or be served. Will kick you out if you talk down about the magicless. Decorates for holidays. Also serves decent baked goods to go with the beverages Makes homemade hot apple cider specifically for Christmas.
LIKES:
Helping folks out, just in general. Walks through nature/the city. Jogs for health reasons. Drawing/sketchbook art. Keeps up w/ Wallis’ magic shows from home. Cold drinks on a hot summer day, poolside. Also swimming probably. Reading – big fan of Mortifer. Holidays: Christmas, Halloween, etc.
DISLIKES:
Politics as a whole. Holier-than-thou attitude. Noisy children. Actually just children in general tbfh. Not a fan of crowded places. Terrified of medical needles. Working during the holiday season.

GLOOMVERSE SPOILERS AHEAD YO
Magic can’t affect a living human being physically. That’s a staple rule. You CANNOT use magic to alter yourself or another person. The only exception to this rule happens to be Wallis, the colour crew, and Assistant. I want to point out that Assistant’s changes are COLOUR BASED, similar to the powerful magic that has overtaken the colour crew.
In the dreamscape, we see that Assistant stumbles across the Dark Overlord- or at least, what we believe the incarnation of them to be. They are quite clearly attacking the (Old) colour crew one by one, and it seems to be for a PURPOSE.
Before I go on, I want to talk a bit more about the old colour people- And, importantly, the ruins. Inside the ruins we see 7 rainbow statues, one for each of the colours. This leads me to believe it was a place of worship- So these colour people that died must have been very powerful beings. Powerful enough that their colour has bled down and REAPPEARED in a select few, in present time: The current colour crew.
Bouncing off of that, the Dark Overlord clearly wants something from them, hence Yellow’s begging of “You got what you wanted… Please, spare me…!!”. I’m not sure entirely of this, however, I believe that the Dark Overlord wanted power, or some form of vengeance. Namely, I think it is entirely possible that the Dark Overlord wanted the colour crew’s magic for themselves.
Once again switching to Assistant, I would like to examine JUST how similar she is to the Dark Overlord. Dark hair and skin, and a primarily black/red scheme- In fact, in some panels, Assistant’s eyes actually turn red for comedic effect. Dark Overlord’s appearance in the dreamscape is VERY saturated, so if you manage to reduce the saturation slightly… You get a skin colour very similar to that of Assistant.
Additionally, I want to point out the SIMILARITIES between Assistant and the DL’s wands:
It kind of looks like DL’S is a twisted version of Assistant’s- they’re also both very staff-like.
Now. If the colour crew’s magic was potent enough to leak down through the years to radically affect and change a certain few people’s lives, then I believe it’s entirely possible the same could be said for Assistant. If she is somehow a descendant/chosen descendant of the Dark Overlord themselves, then wouldn’t it make sense that she has rainbow magic? If the Dark Overlord stole their magic all those years ago- It’s entirely possible that Assistant is actually capable of using the colour magic. It would also explain why she seems to drawn to the ruins, why her hat was held back, why she has such dark eyes in a world so dependent on colour.
