thank you so much!! I…okay!! i’m not particularly good at armour or teaching or well anything really so if anyone wants to point out mistakes or add to this feel free to do so, i’m not sure what part you struggle with so i included shading too? I hope this helps! I’d suggest looking at different medieval armour suits to have a better idea of the parts and shapes but here goes nothing
HEREis a much better explanation with all the layers and a much more realistic approach by perplexingly that your should definitely check out, also their art is fantastic!!
HERE you can find armor parts and if you click around you will see tons of armor reference
If you’re an artist who likes to work really close, (like me), do yourself a favor and put up two views. You can do this by clicking View–> New on your toolbar.
There’s nothing worse than finally zooming out and realizing what you were doing was very wrong. This saved me a lot of grief tbh. I’m sure everyone knows this already but ._.;; I arrived quite late to that party.
WHAT
That’s amazing..
Does this work for Photoshop?
For Photoshop you’ll wanna go to Window > Arrange > New Window for [Document].
BRINGING THIS BACK BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HELPFUL THIS HAS BEEN. This will save you hours and hours of backtracking (fixing a thing close up, zooming back out and realizing that the thing you fixed doesn’t work with the rest of the picture–rinse and repeat). As someone who uses the ‘squint and see if it looks right’ method of drawing anatomy, the tiny window is a goddamned life saver.
There were a few reasons I instated this policy. However, after talking to a lawyer, it seems like allowing certain things won’t really hurt Temmie or Fangamer (my friends). So things will become more lenient.
Now, I won’t stop individual fans from selling the following items at cons:
– Prints, charms, buttons, keychains, stickers, etc. – Most handmade items – Undertale zines/fanbooks/doujinshi – Musical albums/CDs that contain UNDERTALE remixes as <=30% of tracks. (Still figuring out full albums…)
However, restrictions exist:
– You cannot use the UNDERTALE logo or put the name UNDERTALE on it, as it is trademarked. (Weird, right!?) – No t-shirts, apparel/clothing,* or machine-made figures or machine-made plushes. – Do not sell merch via Redbubble, zazzle, or other large online store. – No, you still can’t do Kickstarters or crowdfunding campaigns for UT-related things. – If you’re a company (like Sharkrobot or Hot Topic or something) you cannot sell UNDERTALE merch of ANY kind. – Do not compete with official merch & acknowledge my copyright. If necessary, I can halt any unofficial item’s sale. (Really don’t want to ^^;;) – If this change turns out to be actually bad, I can reverse the decision. – If you sell, please have played the game.
* Exception: if someone hand-made a few scarves, hats, cosplay, or accessories, it’d probably be OK. But if mass-produced, it could become a problem.
When in doubt, if hand-made and few, it’s OK. If mass-produced and machine/factory made, it’s not OK.
PS – One-off art commissions of UT characters are still OK, online or offline.
PPS – If engaging in UNDERTALE activities at a con (selling, cosplaying, etc.), try to be respectful and give a good impression. Overall, UNDERTALE’s had a positive effect on people who have played it. It’d be nice if it could have a positive effect on the rest of the world, too.
ARTIST items/ideas that are encouraged for this event:
• Fanbooks of any kind. Doujinshi, Fanzines, Fanfics, Art books, etc. These are hard to come by in artist alleys anywhere due to the general nature of most conventions, but this specialized fandom event is the perfect opportunity to show off and share your beautiful Undertale comic/fic!
• Don’t be shy with your favourite pairing. Bring your art about Alphyne, Papyton, Sansby, Sanster, etc etc with you to sell and share! This will definitely be the chance to meet others who fly your OTP flag high and proud. After all, we are all here because we love Undertale and its wonderful characters, as well as the ships we come up with too. ♥ Just remember to be respectful and have fun with it!
• Event-only items! Have something that you will only ever provide here at this event. Have fans leave with something that they will cherish and have as a reminder and proof that they attended this special fan get-together.
• Create and bring anything you don’t typically get to experience or find in the usual artist alley selection. Your audience is specialized in one category: Undertale. You don’t have to try and please a general audience! Your options as to what to sell on your table are practically endless. ♥
I am an artist myself, and I will be bringing two doujinshi, a fanfic book, some prints of my fav characters and ships, and a special ATLANTALE exclusive item!
What will you bring?
Holy fuck.
I might ask for the button machine for my bday and just
There’s a wonderful and super affordable button seller on Etsy who will make the buttons for you at a KICKASS price! There’s also no limit on the number of designs you can submit to them! They’ll split the designs up evenly within the quantity you purchase!
hello! I recently found this rad app called “CamScanner”, a mobile app for android and iOS
what does this app do? well, basically it imitates a scanner, so even if you don’t have one, you can take real cool pictures of your drawings!
for this to work, i suggest you take a picture of your entire paper / sketchbook / etc. The app will automatically crop your picture and come out with something like this:
(sometimes it wont be too accurate, but that can be easily fixed by moving the frame yourself)
once scanned, the app will make it so your drawing looks like this:
(the app will have some presets, so you might want to mess around with those. OR you can mess with the settings yourself to get a look you desire)
this can be really helpful if you plan to color your traditional piece on a computer, or something similar.
this can even work with colored drawing, if you’d like!

edited with CamScanner:
if you mess with the settings yourself, i bet you could get the picture to look better, as i did this with the presets.
SO this subject came up in a conversation and I decided to roll with it so let’s go from the start WOOT!
