I know this is very long, so I apologize for that! But I also felt like it was important.

I see lots of posts about tendinitis and carpal tunnel help (which is DEFINITELY very important!) but I see VERY little about Military Neck— which artists of all kinds are just as likely to get, if you’re not sitting well. I’m definitely one of them, and I get to live the rest of my life with it, and its easily preventable.

I wanted to just do a little informative how-to-avoid, but…. I realize it would mean very little to anyone, unless I explained my experience with it. I’ve had it for 8 years now, and it never fully goes away. In fact, I did this comic today, because a cold front came in, and my neck is the worst its been in… a few months now, I think. So I sorta wanted to get this out anyway.

So, I hope you’ll see this, and think about it. Or, if you see this and realize you’re experiencing similiar symptoms and pain? I SERIOUSLY suggest finding yourself both a Chiropractor and a Physical Therapist (or honestly, a Massage Therapist that does deep tissue. tbh that’s what I’ve always used and it saved my life)

I’ve always sorta considered writing a book on this subject but…. regardless. I felt speaking from experience would be worth it.

Hi this is important please read.

I mean I like Indigo well enough but there WAS this one time he sorta broke into Wallis’s room and magic-tasered a guy, shitstorm ensuing. I always thought of him as a minor antagonist/ side character combo, was that not your intention? Or am I just not vulnerable to dorkiness enough to forgive how much of an asshole he was earlier on?

Its not that at all. He- like most characters in my story, is simply multifaceted. 

He is clearly still an asshole. He had no problem ruining Wallis’ reputation and did certainly break into Wallis’ room and magic-taser a dude (though in his defense, he WAS hit first), and he had zero qualms with all of it, calling it a job well done.

But he can ALSO be a guy who has anxiety when it comes to women and relationships. If you think he’s not the same guy as before, think again, if Madam President asked him to go ahead and ruin someone elses reputation he’d do it happily.

He doesn’t even consider the two situations contradictory. He technically doesn’t even have issues with Inversians, he just- legitimately doesn’t care, and does whatever job M.P. sends to him.

The simple truth is; I don’t write characters to be just one thing. Indigo can be both an antagonist, and an awkward guy with women. He can be both the asshole ruining people’s lives, but ALSO a lonely dude who doesn’t really get why women– or just people in general- don’t like him. He’s not super self aware.

People are complicated, and so is Indigo.

Very, very rarely, do I write a characters who is just a ‘bad guy’. In fact, I hate writing just ‘bad guys’. Its boring, and unrealistic.

So- Indigo is both an asshole, and an awkward dork. He’s got many sides to him, just like people do.

So, you are well within your right to not forget the jerky things he did before, but also recognize there’s more going on with him then just that. My intentions of him are not yet fully realized anywho
