Every. Time. Every single time. I always get so delighted by this picture set. And I always forget what it’s followed up by. And then I see the “NAFTER NOON!” and absolutely lose it. I’m so glad this post exists.

I’ve seen a lot of discussion about this gif, and what these particular gestures might mean, and it looks like the consensus among fans is that Mic is asking for a high-five, and Aizawa is reminding him that his hands are in giant flipping casts and thus, a high-five is impossible. A real tragedy.

BUT LISTEN

We’ve all overlooked what that means. THAT MEANS that these guys high-five all the goddamn time, and have for the past FIFTEEN YEARS. So often that Mic has come to expect it, and Aizawa feels the need to explain why it won’t be happening. Picture it:

They capture a villain together? High-five!

School gets cancelled and they get to stay home and play video games all day like teenagers? Slap it!

Some hero they both hate got flung into an open manhole and had to be hosed down in the street by the fire department? Don’t leave me hangin’!

These two high-five like huge dorks all the time and I think that’s beautiful.
